Program Highlight: Argyle Lake State Park 101

Go touch grass! No, really, do it. Argyle Lake State Park is a 1700-acre site with boating, fishing, and hiking trails. Park naturalist, Bridget Hinchee will be at the library on Saturday, September 21st at 1:00 to share even more about this scenic area.

Book Review: Iron Widow

Revenge. That's what motivates main character, Wu Zetian, in the novel Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao. Zetian's revenge plot begins as a way to avenge her sister who died at the hands of the military but continues to grow the more corruption she uncovers. 

What's the Big Deal About Big Read?

In 2024, the Quincy Public Library (QPL) has once again attained the prestigious National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) Big Read grant. The Big Read awards recipients up to $20,000 to execute community-wide programming around a chosen book.
