The Summer I was a Library Intern

We had Maizie join us for an internship this summer. She helped all over the library, including Circulation, Outreach, and even IT! Maizie helped us catalog new books, find missing books, and helped the staff transition over to a new phone system. She also received frontline experience by going out on deliveries to our homebound and nursing home patrons. Here are the Top 5 *very important* things that Maizie learned while she was with us.

              Maizie's Top Five

  1. I found tons of book genres I never even knew about!
  2. I learned all about circulation and the many people that keep the books moving!
  3. I learned how to use the magic wand that inventories the books!
  4. I got to see the amazing network of book drops and pickup lockers throughout Quincy!
  5. I got to be a part of, and see firsthand, how vital the library, its services, and its community are to Quincy and its citizens!

Thank you, Maizie! Feel free to come back any time! (Seriously, I'm not sure any of us know how to use the phones yet)
