Quincy Public Library is all about making our resources available to as many people as possible! That means that sometimes we have to bring the library out to the people. Yes, our mobile library is one way we are bringing the library out into the community. But for patrons with temporary or permanent physical limitations, we also have other Outreach resources like home delivery.
Home Delivery Options
As long as you qualify and have a valid library card on file, you can request all kinds of materials! It's not just books-patrons can request movies, magazines, and audiobooks. Patrons can also checkout out memory kits and busy bottles from our Library of Things.
How Home Delivery Works
Materials Request: patrons wanting home delivery can fill out a form or speak to our outreach team about what types of materials they want to receive. The questions include what types of materials the patron would like to receive as well as what genres they find most interesting.
Delivery Schedule: the outreach team will deliver patron materials on a bi-weekly basis.
Personal Attention: our amazing outreach team is ready and willing to provide personalized recommendations to ensure the best experience. They are happy to discuss patron preferences and recommend solutions for needs that may arise.
Why Choose Home Delivery
Accessibility: Choosing home delivery ensures that regardless of physical differences, everyone has a chance to access valuable library resources. That accessibility builds a stronger community, making Quincy a happier and healthier place for all its citizens.
Connection: Speaking of community, home delivery creates connections between patrons and the library so that everyone has a place that makes them feel welcome and wanted.
