This one is going to hit you right in the nostalgia.
Lynne Marie Stewart was born on December 14, 1946 & passed away on February 21, 2025.
In reading articles & tributes, Lynne Marie is consistently described as one of the funniest people around. Bridesmaids director Paul Feig said "I was such a fan of hers and it was such an honor to work with her in Bridesmaids. A truly wonderful hilarious person." Charlie Day also posted a lovely tribute - "RIP TV mom. Thanks for 20 years of laughter. You deserve a standing ovation." He proceeded to call her brilliant & talented.
She was Ms. Yvonne from Pee-Wee's Playhouse. Lynne Marie played several nurses in M*A*S*H, over the course of the show's run. For those of us who like consistency, she was Squiggy's girlfriend in Laverne & Shirley and Charlie's mom in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Over the years, there were cameos in Remington Steele, The Golden Girls, Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Grey's Anatomy, among others. Lynne Marie also appeared in the movies Rain Man, Clear & Present Danger, American Graffiti, & Bridesmaids.
The Quincy Public Library has access to all of the titles above.
