Do you ever wonder what staff at the Quincy Public Library like to read? Every month, a member of the QPL staff will shere their five favorite books! Jess from Administration's top 5 books are:
Welcome Home, or Someplace Like It by Charlotte Agell: I first read this book in 2nd grade when I found it in my school library. I read it once or twice a year and it is so nostalgic. The style of writing is also so wholesome and sweet.
The Doll in the Garden by Mary Downing Hahn: This is a children's novel that is also a ghost story. Mary writes very cute but spooky stories and I just found this one very moving. I also read this one multiple times, maybe once every couple years maybe.
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill: No other book in the world has motivated me the way this book did. It still remains a best seller since its publication in 1937 and completely altered my methods of growth.
Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony by Jeff Ashton: This is about the Casey Anthony murder case and is written by the prosecuting attorney on the docket. It tells about so many other details that did not make it to trial, and it is just baffling. It was a very addicting read.
The Last President (Or 1900)**Travels and Adventures of Little Baron Trump**Baron Trump's Marvelous Underground Journey- Ingersoll Lockwood Collection: This collection of stories was written in the late 1800's and depicts very eerie similarities to the 2016 Presidential Election and the Trump family in general. Just a super odd find but fun to read.
