The Second World War was the largest, most costly (in lives, finances, and geographic scope) single event in human history.What was it like to live through a war of that magnitude?Dr. Wendell Mauter, QU History Professor Emeritus, explores the perspectives of those affected by the war and their unique experiences in this series at Quincy Public Library.These presentations will be on the second Saturdays at 2:00pm through the fall and winter months, except December.

-November 13 – Diplomacy & Diplomats Shaping Victory & Defeat

-January 8 – Life on the Home Fronts

-February 12 – The Bombers and the Bombed

-March 12 – Women in World War II (Women’s History Month)

-April 9 – The Incarcerated: POWs, the Interned, & Concentration Camp Prisoners

These events are intended for adults and seniors, but all are welcome to attend. All Quincy Public Library programs are free and open to the public. Registration is requested for planning purposes.
