To honor Women's History Month, March movies feature strong female leads, as well as females that alter the course of history. Quincy Public Library brings you a film that exploded at the box office, loved by both movie critics and fans alike: The Woman King. This historical epic film, based on a true story, is about the Agojie, the powerful all-female warrior unit that protected the kingdom of Dahomey, in West Africa, from the 17th to 19th centuries. Set in the 1820’s, Viola Davis stars as a general who trains the next generation of warriors to fight their enemies.
