The Top 10 Plants and Why you Should Grow Them!

Pharmaceutical medicines have been around for less than 200 years. Before that? Herbs! Many, many plants have beneficial uses. In fact, plants are in most of our pharmaceuticals!

However, more and more people try to avoid prescription medicines, whether due to side effects, cost, or other factors, and interest in herbal solutions for prevention and good health are increasingly popular.

Have you wanted to learn more about natural ways to stay healthy?

As part of our Sustained Success Series* of classes, the Quincy Public Library brings you an educational class on the use of medicinal herbs and "weeds" to stay healthy! In partnership with Four Winds farms, QPL brings you a workshop on 10 of the best herbs that are easy to grow right at home to help you stay healthy!

Deborah Lee from Four Winds Farm will teach you about these herbs, give you tips on growing them yourself, which part of the plant to use, a broad range of uses for them, and much, much more!

*This program is part of QPL's Sustained Success Series of programs and educational classes designed to help you reach your personal, financial, health, fun and fitness goals for 2023. For further educational programs in our Sustained Success Series, check out our calendar!
