Program Description

Event Details

The Ghost Festival commemorates the traditional Chinese belief that during this time of year the gates of hell open and ghosts are free to roam. These ghosts are hungry, thirsty, and in need of entertainment. So the local community gets together to offer sacrifices and host a festival. Similar celebrations are held across Asia.
