This event kicks off the Quincy Public Library Community Read of 2023! In partnership with Quanada, QPL is giving away 1,000 copies of the book Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother's Will to Survive, beginning on this kickoff day!  Megan Duesterhaus, Executive Director of Quanada will open this year's Community Read!

The Quincy Community Read of 2023 will offer education on the themes of the book *Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, & a Mother’s Will to Survive by Stephanie Land, and how these things affect our own community here in Quincy.  This initiative hopes to broaden our awareness and understanding of the world, our community, and ourselves through the power of a shared reading experience.
