Program Description

Event Details

Hate bug bites? At QPl, we will bite them back! Over two billion people in the world bite back, eating insects as a regular part of their daily diets!  Eating insects is also a growing trend in Western countries, and it is being discussed in ever-widening circles as a more sustainable, nutritious, and healthy protein source for a growing population! Over 2,000 insect species are considered edible!

Come join us at QPL, learn about the history of entomophagy (eating insects) from Dr. Joe Coelho of Quincy University, and-- if you're brave enough-- try one or more of them and earn a prize!

Traditional snacks and refreshments provided, as well!
