The Quincy Public Library is hosting a Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest that begins on Saturday, October 23, 2021 and last through 6 pm on Thursday, October 28, 2021.
Decorate a pumpkin (or gourd) as a book character or with a literary theme and drop off at the Quincy Public Library children’s desk for display from October 20-October 23.Library staff will vote for the best literary pumpkins on Thursday, October 28.The winners will receive a $25 Chamber Bucks gift certificate that can be used at any participating Quincy Area Chamber Member business that accepts them.
Contest Rules:
·The library cannot accept carved pumpkin submissions.Only painted and/or decorated whole pumpkin submissions may be entered into the contest.
·Contest submissions may be dropped off at the library between Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 9 am and Saturday, October 23,2021 at 5 pm.
·All contest submissions must be accompanied by a Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest Entry Form
·One winner will be chosen from each of the following age categories: young kids (ages 7 and under), tween (ages 8-12), teens (ages 13-17) and adults (ages 18 and up).
·All pumpkins must be picked up by noon on Saturday, October 30, 2021.Pumpkins that are not picked up by this time will be disposed of.
