They are an integral part of American history- a part that reaches far beyond just music and into American society as whole, influencing it in profound ways.
Black music began in the time of slavery, beginning with hymns and work songs and morphing into Jazz, Blues, Gospel, and soul music-- and later rap and hip-hop, which are now the most popular genres of music in the world-- all brought to you through the musical expertise of The PDL (Penny Denise Lewis) Foundation and Gary Yates!
