Event Details
Join us for our annual Big Read in welcoming Quincy native, author, motivational speaker, amputee, USA Para-Athlete, and Ninja Warrior, Gary Weiland. Mr. Weiland lost his leg in 2018, but was able to rise above his disability and return to work as a firefighter. Not only was he able to return to his job, he also began to share his journey through motivational speaking, writing children's books, participating in America Ninja Warrior, and becoming a member of various USA Para-Athlete teams. Using his experiences to "Adapt & Overcome", Gary Weiland will share his journey of having a strong mindset to help you achieve the seemingly impossible. As Gary Weiland shared, "Everyone goes through adversity. How you respond to that adversity, determines your character."
This event is intended for tweens, teens, adults, and seniors, but everyone is welcome. Space is limited and registration is required.
