To read? Or not to Read? Is often the question that comes up with banned and challenged books. This book club answers that question with a big 'Heck Yes!' In this club, we aren't afraid to be open minded, or to tackle tough subjects!
The Banned Book Club reads exclusively books that have been Banned or Challenged.
Book selections are made 6 months in advance. Didn’t get the chance to read or finish the book? It happens. No pressure- you can still join the discussions! Any interested readers are welcome to join the club and dive into discussions at any time!
This month, the Banned Book Club will discuss The Kite Runner by Kahled Hosseini. The Kite Runner has not only been repeatedly and consistently challenged throughout the nation since its publication in 2003, it has made the American Library Association's (ALA) Top 10 list of most often challenged books several times since.
