To read? Or not to Read? Is often the question that comes up with banned and challenged books.
This book club answers that question with a big 'Heck Yes!' The Banned Book Club only explores books that have been banned or challenged.
This section of the club meets on the third Tuesday of every month from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Book selections are made 3-6 months in advance. Any interested readers are welcome to join the club and dive into discussions at any time!
This month, the Banned Book Club will discuss My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. My Sister's Keeper has been challenged throughout the nation, multiple times, and has even made the American Library Association's (ALA) Top 10 list of most often challenged books.
You are welcome to bring your own book, but library card holders have access to this book for free through the Quincy Public Library (or your local library, if you do not reside in QPL’s district).
