Experience the poetry of Emily Dickinson and create a memory of your own by attending this Art of Emily Dickinson painting event. Led by Danny White, fresh from his gallery show at John Wood Community College and Assistant Technical Director at Quincy Community Theatre, participants will be led through the steps of painting an image inspired by Dickinson’s poetry.
Dr. Michael Keller, Assistant Professor of English at Quincy University, will present highlights of Emily Dickinson's choices - in her personal life and her writing content and styles - that reflect her subversive and unconventional life. Brandon Thomsen, Artistic Director at Quincy Community Theatre, and Jeri Conboy, star of the QCT production of "The Belle of Amherst" this April, will share the process of bringing Emily's passion to the stage.
